Who We Are?

Wireless Construction Solutions expanded from Broadcast Construction Solutions, a Texas company formed in the spring of 2019 to pursue opportunities nationwide in tall tower construction and modifications initially to address the shortage of qualified contractors to meet the demands of the FCC Broadcast Incentive Auction.  Founded on principles of excellence, integrity, and reliability, WCS is committed to superior service, safety and efficiency. The owners and officers of WCS have over 120 years combined experience in all phases of the telecom industry.

WCS’s knowledge and experience with complicated tall tower modifications enables us to provide customers with solutions for tower installation, modifications, antenna and line work, and servicing.
WCS offers its customers the following services:

  • Tower construction and installation including guyed towers; self-support towers; monopoles; roof tops and non-standard structures.
  • Antenna and transmission line installation and all RF system testing and tuning for both broadcast and wireless towers.
  • Structural modifications for monopoles, guyed and self-supporting towers.
  • Tower maintenance and inspections including initial tensions and vertical alignment; RF compliance; foundation repair; and guy anchor inspections.
  • Rigging Plan Development

The bedrock of WCS are its owners and experienced field crews.

Patrick (“Pat”) Moore, President — Pat started working in the tower industry in 1976 and since that time has performed or been actively involved with every aspect of tower related services.  Early in his career he and Don Doty formed a tower maintenance and construction business that became one of the premier broadcast tower companies competent to maintain and construct up to 2000′ broadcast towers. The partners later merged with SpectraSite, the largest tower erection and maintenance team ever combined in the industry.  During the digital television transition in 2000 Pat, with a team of managers, completed many complex projects.

In 2013 when Pat joined Velocitel, he and his team was responsible for hiring, managing, and training over 130 wireless field technicians. With Velocitel’s acquisition of FDH and becoming a turf vendor for AT & T, he continued to train and manage wireless field crews in multiple geographic regions.

Pat served on the National Wireless Safety Alliance (NWSA) Board of Directors and is now currently serving on the Board of Governors.  He has been an active member of the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) for 28-years.  In 1995 Don Doty and Pat became one of the founding members of the National Association of Tower Erectors (NATE). Pat is one of the original members of the Safety and Education Committee. He actively participated in developing the ANSI/ASSP A10.48-2016 Standard – Criteria for Safety Practices with the Construction, Demolition, Modification and Maintenance of Communication Structure.  Pat has been honored with NATE’s “Distinguished Service Award” recognizing his direct and individual contributions that profoundly affected the success of the Association.

Gordon Lyman, Sr. VP Operations — has over 50 years of experience in all phases of the telecom industry; from rigging and installations worldwide to management and ownership.  For the past 20 years he has focused his efforts specifically on creating and implementing safety training and programs and writing industry standards.  One of Gordon’s responsibilities is to ensure that all WCS tower technicians are trained and qualified to safely perform the tasks assigned.

Gordon is a founding member of the Communication Infrastructure Contractors Association (NATE), past board member of NATE and past chairman of the NATE/OSHA Relations Committee. He is the current chairman of the ANSI A10.48 Telecommunications Standard which works in tandem with the committee on the TIA 322 standard to keep the two standards in accord. Gordon was honored by NATE as the first recipient of the NATE “Distinguished Service Award” as having had the most impact on the telecommunication industry.

Gordon actively works with industrial standards groups including OSHA, ANSI, CSA, NATE, and TIA, to develop new regulations and standards for the telecom industry.

Jeremy Hulse, VP Field Operations — Jeremy originally started out in 1999 on a small tower stacking crew putting up 300’ to 500’ cell towers. He brings to WCS over 20 years of experience in broadcast tower installation, rigging plan development/management, on-site rigging supervision and tower modification. His previous experience includes L & A work, installing and pathing dished, Project Management of complex projects – supervising multiple crews and procuring equipment necessary for the successful completion of each project. In 2012 Jeremy went to work in the gas pipeline industry installing point to point and multipoint dishes and GSM antenna’s on pipeline flow meters along with programming the radios and meters. He is a qualified in-house safety trainer for tower rescue and tower rescue plans and has traveled abroad to evaluate tower construction crews in other countries.

Dominique Valdez, VP Operations — Dominique started her career in the telecom industry while in college when she interned with a large telecommunications construction company.  After graduation she took a position as Office Manager with the same company.  Through interaction with the crews on a day-to-day basis and learning the safety requirements of the industry, she cultivated a special interest in safety training.  Dominique and Gordon partnered to form eSystem Training Solutions to provide online safety training courses for the tower industry.

Dominique is a member of the Communication Infrastructure Contractors Association (NATE).  She serves on the Safety and Education committee, STAC Workplace Health and Safety committee, the ANSI/ASSP A10.48 committee, and the NWSA Written Exam committee.

Rigging Plans — Our in-house training program includes a basic rigging course for beginner tower technicians and a competent rigger course for supervisors and more experienced tower technicians.  WCS has a strong relationship with the engineering firm Griswold Tower Software for assistance with Class 4 rigging plans. Having the support of GTS and using eSystem’s rigging calculation form makes creating and implementing rigging plans quick and easy.
